Loose Tooth!

Eric has his first official loose tooth. He has already lost two teeth during surgery, but this is the first one that is loose. So exciting - just had to post!

Joy

Saturday we went to the Searcy parade. It was freezing that night, but Eric had a great time! His Nana bought him this lightsaber, and he was so excited about it!

Completed Awana Book

I am so proud of my kiddo. He started Sparks in September and got his book a few weeks later. Well last week, he finished all the sections of the book. He started reviewing it all again last night, and already reviewed 6 verses. He has been learning verses since he was 3, and now he memorizes them so easily. We work on Sparks every day as part of our homeschool.

Just a Swingin'

Eric loves to swing. He always heads straight for his swings when he goes outside.

Here are a couple of other pictures from yesterday.

Recess

A couple of weeks ago, I took these pictures of Eric and Widget playing outside after our homeschool (recess). They love playing with this huge ball. Eric kicked it over the back fence, and I didn't think we were going to get it back (and those things are no where to be found in the fall), but thankfully the neighbors threw it back over a couple of days ago.

Switching Sides

On the 7th, we had a double header soccer game. Eric was ecstatic - he loves him some soccer. The first team we played only had three players show - two of which didn't have a big desire to play. So, the other team was hurting for players. Our coach decided to help the other team out and give them one of our players. He asked for a volunteer and Eric was happy to oblige. I think he was a little confused at first, but he got used to it rather quickly. He wore a yellow scrimmage jersey when he was playing for the other team so that it wouldn't confuse the kiddos. He loved playing the rest of the game with no breaks.

This is one of my favorite pics. You may have to click on it to get the full effect. Eric is giving me the thumbs up after he scored a goal. He always turns and gives a thumbs up when he scores. I so love this boy!

Now playing for the other team:

Wrapping up Halloween

We had planned to make some Crescent Mummy Dogs on Halloween day, but we were just so busy...
So, we made them the next day and had just as much fun!

A blessing of one

There are so many blessings in having one child. (don't get me wrong, I think there are many blessings to having more than one as well) God has chosen to bless our family with one little one for now, and I choose to revel in the blessing that it is. One blessing is that I still see him as little. So many of his friends have younger siblings and are thought to be "big". But, I still see my guy as little. I know that one day we will all look back and think how little they were at this phase. Thankfully, because I have no one to compare him to, I can see that now. I came across this picture from Halloween, and couldn't help but think how little he still is. There will come a day when he will tower over me. But for now, I feel blessed that he is still little.

Halloween

We had a fun and busy Halloween. We started off the morning with some ghost and bat pancakes.

Then we went to Michael's for their Halloween craft.

Next we were off to the library to see Brian Kinder. Our friends Becca and Lauren met us for some singing and dancing fun.

Then it was off to Wendy's for some lunch.

After a little rest, it was off to trick or treat with Kaden and Elaina.

Then it was off to Fall Fest for fun (and of course to see Mr. Eric).

Whew! We had a fun filled busy day!

I don't always get around to putting these up, but we still make them every week.

Trunk or Treat

Oh my sweet, sweet boy! He decided that he wanted to be Larry Boy this year (again). I am so grateful. As you know I spent forever on that costume last year, but I really never dreamed he would want to be that again. Well about a month ago, some of his friends asked him what he was going to be for Halloween. I was so shocked when he told them Larry Boy! Yeah! So the costume I worked so hard on has now gotten two years of wear.
We had Trunk or Treat at our church on Wednesday night. Eric had a great time. He trick or treated at all the cars, and then he came to our trunk to help with all the "business". He loved that!

Reunion

We just returned from a weekend family reunion. The family gathered to honor my Grandfather on his 80th birthday. Above is a picture of Eric with his great-grandfather.

This boy was so excited! Here he is when we first arrived at the camp. We had counted sleeps for a long time. Last week he was telling everyone who would stop to listen how many sleeps were left until the reunion.

Caleb and Eric had a great time together! They played the entire weekend. They played their own version of pool, built dozens of inventions, hiked to the top of the mountain, and just had loads of fun.

Here is a pic of me and Eric on top of the mountain. The view was incredible!

There was no cell phone service in the valley where we camped, so we were thrilled to be able to call Daddy from the top of the mountain.

Daddy's little clone.
