Yeah! Soccer time again!

We are so glad soccer has started back! Eric has the same coach he had last year (yeah!). He has a whole new team of kids.

Winged Wonders

We went to the Winged Wonders program at the Zoo today. This was our second time to go and it was great! I am not a big fan of birds flying near my head, kind of freaks me out a little. And of course, who gets hit by a massive bird wing - oh that would be me. And 2 more birds came awfully close. I think they could sense my fear... Here are a couple of videos of the birds.

This is what Eric would look like if his eyes were the same proportion as an owl.

Of course they have a donation time worked in at the end of the show. Here is Eric giving the bird some money.

Camping

We went camping last night and had a blast! We slept in a tent, roasted hot dogs and made smores, and flew a kite. It was loads of fun.

Here was Eric right before he went to sleep last night.

And here he was right as he was waking up this morning.

We left the canopy off of our tent, so we just had mesh sides and top. We had the most amazing view of the stars last night. We were away from town (and all the lights), and the sky was beautiful!

More underwater success pictures

We went to the pool with the Durhams Tuesday. Eric decided to start going all the way under. He had previously been going under with just his nose and mouth. The eyes and hair stayed out most of the time. Tuesday he was full on going under. I posted one video on Tuesday, but here is another.

Widget and Eric

Here are some pictures I took of the boys Thursday morning. They are great buds!

And of course, we can't escape a photo session without a silly pic.

Surgery

Eric's surgery went well last week. We were at Children's for 9 hours, so it made for a long day.
Here are a couple of pre-op pictures. We had to hang in that room for a while. He brought his monkey Journey and his new Bakugan to keep him company. They gave Journey a bracelet and let him go in the operation room with Eric.

Here is a recovery room picture. They wouldn't let him go home until he consumed some fluids. All he wanted was water, but they wouldn't let him have that. So, here he is trying to eat a popsicle.
