Flower
Eric fell in love Saturday - with a guinea pig. Oh, he loved that little thing. We were at his friend Magdalen's birthday party, and the kids were all wanting to see the guinea pig. Eric was happy to pet her with the other children and enjoyed watching her, but once he got to hold her, it was all over. The boy was not going to move again. He sat for 20 minutes or more holding Flower and not moving an inch. The kids covered her with what he calls a "cape" in the video so that she would not be cold. I just thought it was so sweet. Don't anyone get any ideas for his birthday. We do not need another pet. But, we are now the official guinea pig sitters for whenever her family leaves town.

Let's go for 3
So, I am going to do 3 blogs today. I always want to go a little above and beyond the expectations...
Saturday night we all went to the state wrestling tournament. Our friends Matt and Ellen have a son Tyler (9th grade) who was competing. This was a little stresful for me. I think I lost 4 years off of my life. But, TYLER WON! He is the Arkansas State Wrestling Champion in his weight division. Very impressive!
Easter Bunny vs Mickey Mouse
Robert was getting on me for not updating my blog, so I guess I had better do 2 today. :) Saturday we went to the mall for breakfast with the Easter bunny. The mall offers lots of free activities if you are a member of their Kidgits program. Being a member only costs $5 a year, so this is a steal! He got free breakfast from Chick-fil-a (yum), and the Easter bunny was wandering around posing for pictures. Eric wanted nothing to do with the bunny. He wouldn't hug it, pose with it, or even give it five. I didn't force the issue, but I did want a picture of him with the bunny, so I got a lady to take our picture. As you can see, he was very wary of this large walking rabbit-costumed thing.
From there we went upstairs to a Book Blast they were having. Radio Disney was there and had a large stuffed Mickey Mouse in a chair on the side. Eric had no problems going up and talking to, dancing with, and hugging Mickey.
These are just some other pics showing the many faces of Eric that morning. They make me laugh.
Mr Eric
Oh how Eric loves Mr. Eric. He is the Children's Minister at Cornerstone (where I exercise). When we started back after Christmas, Eric and his buddies (Abbie, McKenna, Magdalen, Kaden, and Elaina) would always go to his office (right next to where I exercise) to get a piece of candy. A week or two in, he just started coming out to play games or do crafts with them. And, Eric LOVES him! He adores that man. They play games and run around while the mommies talk and watch. It is wonderful. We usually stay about 45 minutes after exercise each day.

Eric at play
Silly boy! Here he is eating lunch with his friend Kaden from exercise.
Our homeschool circle is expanding. All of the children on this bed except for Abbie will be or are being homeschooled. These are all kids from exercise.
This is his preschool class from Gymboree. He is in the red stripes (you may have to click on the picture to see his expression. He was listening so intently.) The little girl on his left will also be doing kindergarten this fall. So, we know Nate, Kaden, Caroline, and Eric will all be doing kindergarten together.
He loves to play hide and seek! It is his favorite active game. One day he was hiding, and we could not figure out where he had gone. He was tickled pink to pop out of his hamper at us. Thankfully the camera was nearby, andI was able to snap a picture.
More hide and seek.
He has reached the goofy dressing stage. This was on a recent trip to Walgreens. He loves to wear his rain boots because he can put them on by himself. He wanted to wear his binoculars because we were "going on an adventure". And then he has a toy in each hand. Sweet, silly boy.
He still likes to wear hats. He calls this one his "artist hat".
This is the goody bag he got for completing all of his Christ's Kids memory work. He has now completed 5 verses, and we are working on number 6.
