Can't-stop-teaching-

I am constantly teaching. I just really can't help myself. The boys wanted some candy corn last night, so I bought some, but then we forgot about it. So tonight after supper, I decided to do a little patterning with the guys while they snacked. They really don't know they are learning anything. They were just playing a game where you got to eat a piece of candy after each round.

All aboard!

Kaden is spending 4 days with us and his sister is staying with the Durham girls. We decided to meet up today and go to the Farmer's Market. Pickings were slim, but we did find some partially baked pizza crusts so the kids could make their own pizzas. The trolley runs through downtown, so we decided to go for a ride. It was Eric's first time on a trolley, and he had big fun.

He offered to let the kiddos pull the horn. Of course Eric had to do that, but he needed a little help to reach.

The boys decorated their own pizza and thought that was super cool.

Too funny!

So Eric has discovered Robert's very old glasses. He loves wearing them. I think the pictures say it all...

Killing Goliath

This mean, 9 foot tall giant was out in front of our house today, and it was Eric's job to slay him. We gathered up some small stones (play-doh), and Eric went to work. After many play-doh throws, Eric moved on to a tennis ball. He was finally able to hit that giant in the forehead. Yay!

Wow! He was a very big man!

This is Goliath's view of Eric.

This is the final throw that knocked Goliath in the forehead and brought him down.

My sisters have told me how much they enjoy the videos. So, I will try to include more in the blog. (and have you noticed how much I have blogged lately?)

Yeah! Soccer time again!

We are so glad soccer has started back! Eric has the same coach he had last year (yeah!). He has a whole new team of kids.

Winged Wonders

We went to the Winged Wonders program at the Zoo today. This was our second time to go and it was great! I am not a big fan of birds flying near my head, kind of freaks me out a little. And of course, who gets hit by a massive bird wing - oh that would be me. And 2 more birds came awfully close. I think they could sense my fear... Here are a couple of videos of the birds.

This is what Eric would look like if his eyes were the same proportion as an owl.

Of course they have a donation time worked in at the end of the show. Here is Eric giving the bird some money.
