Whew! Eric had a great day at soccer. He scored 3 goals back to back. It was pretty exciting! Here are videos of the 3 goals. (I would advise you to turn down your speakers - there is a lot of cheering.)

Cutest Baseball Player Ever!
Cookout
On the last night of Kaden's visit, we had a cookout in the backyard. Robert built a fire hole, and then we roasted hot dogs and made s'mores. After they ate, the boys took off on a lightning bug hung. I think they would have stayed out there all night, but the mosquitos were loving us a little too much, so I eventually called it to an end. On an interesting note, we had some bats fly over our heads for about 30 minutes. It was fascinating and a littly creepy. I was happy to see them there - they eat tons of mosquitos - but I was also a little weirded out. I mean, really... bats?
Eric had a great time with his buddy being here!
Widget was pretty tired from running after those boys!
Here is the lightning bug Eric caught.
My husband couldn't just eat a hot dog, so here is his steak roasting over the fire.

Playin at the Park
Yesterday we went to a fun newer park in the downtown area. It is a combination water and play park. The boys had a blast! There is a fountain area for the kids to play in, as well as tunnels built into the hills and slide, climbing wall, etc. It is a really cool place to go. Where was this place when I was a kid?

Can't-stop-teaching-
I am constantly teaching. I just really can't help myself. The boys wanted some candy corn last night, so I bought some, but then we forgot about it. So tonight after supper, I decided to do a little patterning with the guys while they snacked. They really don't know they are learning anything. They were just playing a game where you got to eat a piece of candy after each round.
All aboard!
Kaden is spending 4 days with us and his sister is staying with the Durham girls. We decided to meet up today and go to the Farmer's Market. Pickings were slim, but we did find some partially baked pizza crusts so the kids could make their own pizzas. The trolley runs through downtown, so we decided to go for a ride. It was Eric's first time on a trolley, and he had big fun.
He offered to let the kiddos pull the horn. Of course Eric had to do that, but he needed a little help to reach.
The boys decorated their own pizza and thought that was super cool.
Too funny!

Killing Goliath
This mean, 9 foot tall giant was out in front of our house today, and it was Eric's job to slay him. We gathered up some small stones (play-doh), and Eric went to work. After many play-doh throws, Eric moved on to a tennis ball. He was finally able to hit that giant in the forehead. Yay!
Wow! He was a very big man!
This is Goliath's view of Eric.
This is the final throw that knocked Goliath in the forehead and brought him down.

My sisters have told me how much they enjoy the videos. So, I will try to include more in the blog. (and have you noticed how much I have blogged lately?)
