Great buddies!

We are so blessed to be surrounded by so many amazing people! Eric has some pretty fabulous friends. On his birthday we met Ms. Tammy, Nate, and Hannah for lunch at Chuck E Cheese. Eric and Nate had a great time racing the jet skis and riding the roller coaster. These guys are incredibly close and have such a great time together.

Breakfast with the Easter Bunny

Saturday morning we went to the mall for Breakfast with the Easter Bunny. If you remember from last year, Eric was having nothing to do with that bunny. This year he was all about it. He was very excited to see him.

Chick-fil-a is so amazing and provides breakfast for all the kids. They also gave each child a Chick-Fil-A Cow. Here is Eric mooing with his cow.

They had door prizes, and Eric won a Tale of Despereaux lunch box (he loves lunch boxes, so this was the perfect prize for my little guy). And, If I haven't told you lately, that is a pretty great movie. He wanted a picture of both the front and the back of the box, so here he is posing with each side.

A few hours after this, Eric began to get quite sick. He is beginning to feel some better. Hopefully none of the rest of us catch anything.

Our growing boys

We took these pictures on Sunday. I thought I should post some new ones, since Widget has changed so much in the past couple of weeks. We took him to the vet last Thursday, and he was 3.8 pounds (he was 3.2 pounds when we got him). Everything looked good, and he got a shot.
Eric went for his well child check this week. He is 38 pounds and 41.75 inches. He is in the 25th to 50th percentile in his height and weight. He also got his shots (four to be exact), and he handled it like a champ. He cried for just a couple of minutes, then he was done. We were very proud of him.

Puppy fun

Well, Widget is in full puppy mode today. By about mid afternoon yesterday, he became comfortable and started exploring. Now he is just prancing and pouncing everywhere. Eric is having a blast playing with him. He is eating well and getting very attached to his new family.
(By the way, Eric took this picture. Didn't he do a good job? He loves taking pictures.)

More on Widget

Eric was so excited to get his new puppy yesterday. And he took ownership of him right away. He wanted to hold him in the car, and he held him a lot of the way home. Widget got sick a couple of times, which made Eric lose interest in the holding part. :)
Widget was a pretty nervous little guy. If you put him down, he would just lie there and whimper. He was not used to much people interaction, and I don't think he had ever been put down on the ground. It won't take him long to get adjusted.

Welcoming Widget

After our 8 and a half hour trip to get our new puppy, we are pretty exhausted. But, I wanted to post one picture tonight. I will try to put more up tomorrow. You know me, I took like 50 or so.

Webkinz love

Oh my boy and his Webkinz. He loves them so very much. He got his first one for Christmas (thank you Aunt Tabitha and Uncle Aaron). Now he has 6 and is completely hooked. He loves them online, but he adores them in person. He carries them around and loves on them. It became very real to him on Feb 4 when Crocky had his birthday. Eric said, "Is it really for real his birthday?" I think that made them seem alive to him. He carried Crocky around all day, and Crocky even homeschooled with us. Now at least one Webkinz is always present during our homeschool.
A week or two ago, we went to the park with our little friend Lauren. Eric asked me if he could take his Webkinz with him. I told him that he couldn't take them to the park, but that they could ride in the car with us. You would think my child had won the lottery. Look at his face.

We got him this one for Valentine's Day, and here he is going to school with us. Eric put him in this block wagon. The blocks were his food in case he got hungry.

I try to work them in to our lesson whenever possible. This is pretty easy with our math lessons. Here he is trying to make sure there is enough ice cream for the Webkinz who have come to the ice cream shop.
